How to Look After Your Voice: Top Vocal Tip #5 of 12

#5. Vocal Nodules and Polyps

A nodule is a tiny callus that forms on the vocal folds, preventing them from approximating or ‘sealing’. The good news in many cases is that this may be worn away with vocal exercises, however, please seek professional help if you think that this might be the case. A polyp is similar to a node or nodule but has a stem and will not respond so well to vocal exercises, a doctor may recommend that you have it removed.
